My forearm has been bothering me. It's on the lateral side and only hurts when I flex and extend my elbow or grip something. I'll be alternating ice and heat lotion today on it.

The November meet is off for me. I'm going to take a break from competing because I just don't see the point. Scott Yard has said a few times that if it isn't fun, he's not going to do it. I agree. There's never any competition in my weight class around here and I just can't justify the hassle and expenditure. So now the idea is that here in about 6 weeks I'm going to take a deload and take some time on a Saturday and test my lifts. Either that or I'll just deload and then test my lifts the following week on the normal days we're in the gym. All that has ever mattered is PRs... no reason to pay someone for that.

Nothing will be changing in my routine really, I'm just cutting out a lot of the board work and rep work I was going to do in the next several weeks. Assuming my forearm is back to par next week I'll be moving into the 400s with the one board and moving deeper into the 500s with some reverse bands on the squat. Dead lift won't change much because I'm trying to establish new PRs with sumo. Current best is an ugly 475... so even a pretty 475 would be an improvement.
